About this house
A hub, not
a destination.
A Christ-centered equipping and sending community in College Station, Texas, where people are taught, healed, discipled, trained, aligned and equipped — and then sent.
Who we are
The gospel does more than console.
We are a ministry for people who have been told they are too much and for people who have been told they are not enough. Both are welcome here.
Our conviction is that the gospel does not merely console a person in a hard season — it teaches them a new way of living, thinking and being. So we preach the whole counsel of Scripture, we pray for the sick, we make room for restoration, and we keep sending people out.
That is what resilient means here: a life rooted in Christ bends without snapping and comes back stronger than it went down.
“We gather to be sent. Everything else is maintenance.”
Read our welcomeThe Apostolic-Prophetic Hub
Two dimensions, one house.
The apostolic gives the house its structure and its sending. The prophetic gives it its hearing and its encouragement. Neither is an office to be admired from a distance — both are meant to make ordinary believers steady.
The Apostolic
- Foundation
- Christ laid first, and every house built on him measured against that foundation.
- Order
- Healthy structures and clear accountability, so the work outlasts the moment.
- Doctrine
- Sound teaching held plainly, so no one is carried off by every wind.
- Leadership development
- Raising shepherds and teachers from within this house, not merely importing them.
- Church planting
- Multiplying houses rather than hoarding one congregation.
- Mission
- A clear sending, to our city and beyond it.
- Governance
- Eldership that governs with wisdom and gentleness.
- Sending
- Every gathering ends with people deployed, not merely moved.
The Prophetic
- Hearing
- Listening for what God has revealed through Scripture, prayer and discernment — never instead of Scripture.
- Faithful communication
- Saying what was received plainly and without embellishment, and staying silent where nothing was given.
- Encouraging and strengthening
- Building the church up, never using gifting to control or wound it.
- Recognizing direction
- Helping believers recognize God’s leading in their own lives and households.
We hold this with reverence. Gifting is never a license to control a person, and prophecy is always measured against Scripture and the fruit it leaves behind.
In our own words
Our Identity
Resilient City Church is an Apostolic-Prophetic Hub, a Christ-centered equipping and sending community committed to biblical doctrine, spiritual formation, prophetic discernment, leadership development, prayer, restoration, and the mobilization of believers for Kingdom service.
Biblically, the idea is often connected to Ephesians 4:11-13, where Christ gives apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry.”
An Apostolic-Prophetic Hub is a ministry center that sees itself as doing more than holding regular worship services. It is intended to equip, develop, send, and strengthen believers for ministry and mission, with particular emphasis on the apostolic and prophetic functions described in the New Testament.
An apostolic-prophetic hub therefore emphasizes equipping people rather than building ministry around one personality.
By calling it a hub, we communicate that the church is intended to function as a gathering and deployment center. People come in to be taught, healed, discipled, trained, aligned, and equipped, and then go back into their families, churches, workplaces, communities, and ministry assignments prepared to serve.
Inside the hub
What happens when you come in.

Taught
Scripture opened plainly, week after week, in a way you can carry out of the room.
Healed
Prayer for the sick and the wounded, with time made for it.
Discipled
Someone walking with you, not a crowd you disappear into.
Trained
Practical equipping for the assignment already in your hands.
Aligned
Clarity about calling, order and the season you are actually in.
Equipped
Then sent. Into family, work, community and ministry.
Come and see what this is.
Our pastors would rather meet you than describe themselves to you.
And if you are looking for a place to carry something rather than only receive it, every ministry in this house is looking for a director — and for people to serve beside one. See the ministry opportunities.
