Ministry opportunities

This house grows
one yes at a time.

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."

1 Peter 4:10

Every ministry here is looking for someone to carry it, and for people to stand beside whoever does. Direct a ministry, or volunteer with one — either is a real yes.

Now open — every ministry

Leading a ministry’s team, planning and praying with them, and caring for the people the ministry serves.

Leadership

Ministry Operations Coordinator.

This person oversees the ministry directors. They help every director stay aligned and supported, and they keep the ministries moving forward together rather than each one working in isolation.

If you are the sort of person who holds a room together and notices the person who is quietly struggling, this is written for you.

One role over every ministry

Overseeing the ministry directors, keeping them supported and aligned, and helping the ministries move together rather than in isolation.

Opens the form with this role already chosen.

The ministries

Seventeen houses, seventeen directors.

Each of these is a ministry of Resilient City Church, named as our handbook names them. Each needs someone to lead its team — and people to serve alongside them.

  • Director needed

    Associate Ministers

Ordained and licensed ministers who stand with the pastor to preach, teach, visit and pray. They carry pulpit and pastoral duties as they are asked, and help keep the house cared for when the pastor cannot be everywhere.

  • Director needed

    "R" Babies

The ministry that cares for the youngest children during gatherings, so parents can worship without worry. Volunteers keep the room safe, gentle and calm, and they are often the first friendly face a young family meets.

  • Director needed

    Christian Education

The teaching arm of the house, shaping classes and study so people learn the Scriptures rather than only hear about them. It works with teachers and study leaders to keep what is taught clear and sound.

  • Director needed

    Congregational Care

The people who check in on the household, especially those who are sick, grieving, homebound or quietly struggling. It is mostly calls, visits, meals and prayer — the ordinary work of not forgetting anyone.

  • Director needed

    Arts

The creative ministry of the house, serving worship and teaching through visual art, drama, dance and design. People here make things that help a room understand what is being said.

  • Director needed

    RKonnect

The welcome and belonging ministry for people who are new, walking with them from a first visit toward membership. It hosts orientation, answers questions, and helps a visitor find their way into the life of the house.

  • Director needed

    Gatekeeper

The ministry of intercession and watchfulness, standing in prayer over the house, its leaders and its gatherings. It keeps the room covered while everyone else is occupied with the work in front of them.

  • Director needed

    First Touch

The greeters and front-door team — the first people anyone meets when they arrive. They welcome, give directions, and make sure no one is left standing alone in a room full of strangers.

  • Director needed

    Self Care Health and Fitness

The ministry that cares for the body as part of whole-person discipleship, through movement, health education and encouragement. It helps people build habits that carry into the rest of their lives.

  • Director needed

    Hospitality and Special Events

The team that prepares the room and the table, from weekly gatherings to special services and outside events. It handles setup, food and the details that let everyone else be fully present.

  • Director needed

    Marriage Love Alive

A ministry for couples, making room for honest conversation, encouragement and prayer about marriage. It gathers married and engaged couples to strengthen what they are building at home.

  • Director needed

    Media

The team behind the sound, screens, streaming and recordings of a service. People here keep the message clear in the room and make it reach the people watching from home.

  • Director needed

    Iron Manifest

The men's discipleship ministry, gathering men to study the Word, be honest with one another, and grow in responsibility. It is where men are sharpened for their homes, their work and their walk.

  • Director needed

    I Am Enough

The women's life circle — a place for women to be known, encouraged and built up in the Word. It makes room for real conversation about faith, family and the season a woman is in.

  • Director needed

    Fi-Yah Culture

The youth and young adult ministry, walking with the next generation as they make their faith their own. It mixes teaching, conversation and gathering so young people are known rather than counted.

  • Director needed

    Seniors "R" Goldens

The ministry for the older members of the house, honouring them with fellowship, visits and practical support. It makes sure long faithfulness is seen, included and cared for.

  • Director needed

    Resilient Worship

The worship ministry, leading the house in song and shaping the sound of a gathering. It is open to singers and instrumentalists who want to serve the room rather than perform for it.

The full description of every ministry sits in the New Members Orientation Handbook. Read the one you are drawn to before you put your hand up.

Lead one, or serve beside.

Tell us which path you are choosing, which ministry draws you, and who you are. A pastor reads every one.

Nothing here is a test, and there is no wrong reason to want to serve. If you would rather ask a question before you apply, write to hello@resilientcity.online.

  • Direct a ministry, volunteer, or the coordinator role.
  • One ministry or several, from this house’s own list.
  • Your name, email and an optional phone and note.
