New to Resilient

From visiting
to belonging.

We call it becoming a citizen. Not membership as a form to fill in, but a deliberate move toward Christ, toward this house, and toward the people you will be sent to serve.

The path

Five steps, no rush.

  1. 01

    Visit

Join a Sunday or Thursday gathering online and simply be present. That is the whole first step.

  2. 02

    Connect

Let us know who you are. Tell us what brought you and what you are carrying, and a pastor will follow up personally.

  3. 03

    Learn

Join Word Walk Bible Study and learn to read the Scriptures with this house — the foundation everything else stands on.

  4. 04

    Serve

Every citizen has a function. We will help you find the place where your gift actually meets a need.

  5. 05

    Belong

Citizenship here is commitment: to Christ, to this house, and to the people you will be sent to serve.

Your next step

Start here.

Tell us a little about yourself and that you would like to become a citizen of this house. A pastor will reach out, answer your questions, and walk you through what comes next.

Not ready for that? That is fine too. Join a gathering, watch online, and take your time. And if you would rather just write to a person, the door is open: hello@resilientcity.online.

Pick as many as you like, or none at all.

Your note goes straight to the pastors.

Becoming a citizen begins at orientation.

New Members Orientation is where a visitor becomes family. The handbook we walk through together covers who this church is, what we believe, what it means to be a Christian, the responsibility of the church, and how to find your place serving.

Read it at your own pace before you come, or bring your questions and we will read it together. The Spiritual Gifts Assessment at the end of the handbook is on this page too, and you can take it right here.

The Spiritual Gifts Assessment.

Every citizen has a function, and the New Testament assumes every believer is given something to bring. This assessment is the one printed in our handbook: 133 short statements, answered honestly, to help you see how God has wired you to serve.

It takes a few minutes. There are no right or wrong answers, and nothing here decides whether you belong — it is a starting point for a conversation, not a verdict.

How it works
10 statements at a time, with a progress bar across the whole thing.
Answering
1 (not at all true of me) through 6 (completely true).
What you get
Your score in all nineteen gift areas, with your three strongest called out and the ministries here that fit them.
What happens
It comes straight to the church, and a pastor follows up about where you might serve.

How has God gifted you to serve?

This is the Spiritual Gifts Assessment from our New Members Orientation Handbook. Read each statement and answer as you actually are, not as you would like to be. There are no right or wrong answers, and nothing here decides whether you belong — it simply helps us see where you might serve with joy.

The scale

  • 1Not at all true of me
  • 2Rarely true
  • 3Sometimes true
  • 4Often true
  • 5Almost always true
  • 6Completely true

Your answers are held for this visit only, so if you leave and come back in the same session they are still here.

What belonging involves

Three simple things, nothing more.

Citizenship in this house is not a gauntlet. It is a handful of plain commitments that say you are with us, and that we are with you.

Personal faith in Jesus Christ

A conscious trust in Jesus as Lord and Saviour — the foundation everything else in this house rests on.

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

Participating in the two things Christ gave his church: baptism, and the table where we remember him together.

New Member Orientation

Sitting through orientation with us, so you know this house’s story, its teaching, and where you fit.

Questions about any of it? None of this is a test. Write to us and a pastor will walk you through it.
